OUR FRIENDS IN NSW
Sahara is Japanese speaking Australian born, with a spirit of Africa residing in her. She has for a long time supported New Life International Children's Development Centre in Cape Coast, Ghana and also done boxing promotions in both Ghana and Kenya.

SydWest MULTICULTURAL SERVICES
SydWest Multicultural Services is the largest multicultural organisation in Western Sydney, a leading NGO assisting and empowering CALD communities for over 30 years. SydWest’s services & programs help the most vulnerable within the CALD population in the Blacktown and Nepean regions
Kylie has been involved with the African Australian Community in NSW for over 20 years on a personal and professional level. She is one of the known original promoters of the first ever African/R&B clubs in Sydney. She still promotes Afro entertainment in Sydney.

Ying is founder of Mitta Studio, an outlet of fashion and accessories with Ankara fabrics from Cameroon. She has been working with APAN in Douala since 2011.
Her passion has always been about community and promoting culture diversity.

CORE COMMUNITY SERVICES
CORE is a not for profit organisation in the South West Sydney area. CORE stands for the organization's values – Care, Opportunity, Respect and Empowerment. CORE runs a range of services that have benefited the African Australian community in South West Sydney and beyond.
Known for her label 'Ishi Maisha' Emma is passionate about African designs and fashion. She designs children and adult’s clothes with an African fashion touch. She has previously dressed Lisa Viola, Kenneth Tusubira, Tsehay Hawkins, Afro Kidz, Afro Moses among others.

Gavin, through his portfolio with the NSW Police has been the sponsor for the safety and well-being of international students in NSW. This is done through different programs that have built closer and lasting relationships with International Students including many from Africa.
Genevieve (Genna) is founder and CEO of Gennarosity Abroad, a Not-For-Profit organisation that provides education, skills, vocational training, health, literacy, clean water, employment and support to communities in Kenya. Gennarosity Abroad is a registered Australian charity with DGR status.
BDCC supports Ugandan Cricket Association with cricket gear since 2005. This good gesture started when one of the members of the BDCC saw Uganda cricket team players sharing equipment while participating in a high profile International Cricket Council match in 2005.
Leonie is a Jamaican born with a big heart of gold towards the African community. She currently supports the Let African Children Learn Association (LACLA) in Zambia through which she raises money for young girls to help fund their education, develop technology and computer skills.
Refugee Advise and Casework Services (RACS) is the pre-eminent and longest running Refugee Community Legal Centre in NSW. Close to 30 years, RACS has established a solid reputation as the leading provider of free, expert legal services to people seeking asylum & refugees.
Julia Dorothy Finn is a darling to the African Australian community in NSW. Ever since her election as member for Granville in 2015, Julia has graced various functions hosted by the African Australian community and she has supported various projects services for the same community.
Mary is an Italian Australian with a huge African heart living in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire. She has supported the African community for decades and in so many ways but mainly in the areas of music, film, and entertainment.

A long time employees with STARTTS (Service for the Treatment And Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors), Jasmina has worked with various individuals, communities and groups of the African community in NSW especially those that have recently moved to Australia.

DJ Fasmwa is one of Australia’s leading Caribbean DJs based in Sydney. He is passionate and talented and loves playing Caribbean and Afro Caribbean music. His love for Afro Beats has made him a darling for 100s of African Australians who attend his weekend gigs.
